This zine opens for presales by Halloween of 2023! We will announce the date for our aftersales on our socials!WILL THE CONTRIBUTORS RECEIVE MONETARY COMPENSATION?At the least, we aim to provide each contributor with their own zine bundle should we meet our sales/profit goal!IS THERE AN AGE RESTRICTION ON APPLICATIONS?Everyone needs to be 18+ at the time of application!CAN I APPLY FOR MORE THAN ONE ROLE?Yes, but you will only be considered max for two roles.HOW MANY PIECES ARE WE REQUIRED TO DO IF WE GET ACCEPTED?Page/Spread Artists will be asked to do at least one fully colored/rendered illustration.
Writers will be asked to do one full story (word count will be determined post-interest check)
Depending on the information we receive from the interest check, Merch Artists will be asked to do 1-2(?) pieces.WHAT IS A PINCH HITTER?If you are not initially accepted into the zine you will be put on a list to be contacted to fill a spot if a contributor drops out! Keep in mind pinch hitters may be asked to come into the project late and may have to finish their piece with a shorter time constraint.HOW MANY CONTRIBUTORS WILL YOU BE ACCEPTING

Zine Theme Questions/AnswersIS ROMANTIC CONTENT/SHIPPING ALLOWED?No, this will be a ship-free zine!DO ALL PIECES HAVE TO BE MIHAWK-CENTRIC?Yes, we would like Mihawk to be the main focus of any piece, with space for interaction with other characters that make sense to his character, of course! Writing pieces may be done from the viewpoint of another character, but they still need to remain focused on Mihawk.WILL MOVIE CONTENT BE ALLOWED IN THE ZINEAbsolutely, Mihawk has made an appearance in a couple and if your idea encompasses him slicing and dicing a meteor, we would love to see it!WHAT TYPE OF CONTENT WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE ZINE AS AN ARTIST/WRITER?We are trying to stay as true to canon as possible! We will be allowing the same level of violence/profanity as would be in the anime/manga. We WILL be allowing non-canon AUs in this zine (modern Gothfam, medieval, etc) as long as it isn’t part of another fandom and is a general AU.

App Info
Writers-You need at least three samples with one of those samples being a completed work. You are allowed to have snippets of other works as samples, but please make sure you list what work this snippet is from, and the link to the full piece if it can be provided.-Samples need to be at least 500 words in length, but should not go above 1,500 words. If you have works that are significantly above or below the limit range then your app may not be considered for this project.-We will be looking at your ability to do characterization, correct spelling and grammar, and how well you portray the subject matter at hand.-Please make sure all submissions are in English, and SFW. NSFW submissions will result in a missing sample and potentially terminate your application.-If you submit via google drive make sure to have your permissions turned on to 'everyone with the link can see' - we will not be requesting access to samples to fix your application, so please double check your links! (You may check them by opening the links in an incognito tab!)
Page Artists-You will need to submit 3 pieces of artwork that you believe showcase your body of work the best.-At least one of your pieces needs to have a full background.-Mods will be looking for your ability to show composition, anatomy, color theory, backgrounds (if applicable), perspective, and light/shading.-We wish to see a wide range of your work. We recommend a portfolio with 5-10 pieces max, but it is open for every applicant to decide the number of pieces within their portfolio by themself.-Please make sure all submissions are SFW - NSFW pieces will be ignored and counted as missing from your submission.-If you submit via google drive make sure to have your permissions turned on to 'everyone with the link can see' - we will not be requesting access to samples to fix your application, so please double-check your links!
